Riata Ranch is located in northwest Harris County in Cypress, Texas, and was one of the first communities developed along Barker-Cypress Rd just south of US Highway 290. The community has over 1000 homes in 11 sections, two of which are gated.
Riata Ranch is organized in a Home Owners Association (HOA), each homeowner is a member of this association. The Riata Ranch Homeowner’s Association is chartered to govern the upkeep, improvement and management of the common areas, facilities and equipment.
The daily management of the association is contracted to Crest Management.
A board of elected directors oversees the management company and vendors.
Riata Ranch services including utilities and infrastructure are provided by:
CenterPoint Energy Natural gas service and electric transmission
Harris County Flood Control District Storm sewers, flood control channels and bayous
Harris County MUD No. 196 Water, sanitary sewage, trash and recycle
Harris County Precinct 3 Infrastructure including streets, roads and street signs.

The splash pad and pool are owned and maintained by the Riata Ranch HOA.
The park and playground equipment in the pocket park in Section 11 are owned and maintained by Riata Ranch HOA.
