Tennis court rules

The tennis courts are available to all homeowners; To keep the courts in good shape and working order we ask players and others to abide by the following rules (of common sense and courtesy).

The courts are for the exclusive use of home-owners only:

  1. Courts are to be used by residents of Riata Ranch and their guests only. Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times when using a tennis court.
  2. No children are allowed on the courts unless they are playing tennis. Minors 10 and younger should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  3. No animals, skates, skateboards, bicycles, wagons, strollers, basketballs or other non-tennis related items allowed on the tennis courts. Please leave these at home or park them outside the court area next to the trail. Do not block the access gate.

Be courteous and responsible:

  1. Proper tennis attire is required; Shirt and shoes required. Shoes: non-marking (tennis) shoes only.
  2. No glass containers, alcohol or smoking allowed in the tennis court area.
  3. Abuse of the nets or courts will not be tolerated. Do not drop the nets for practice purposes.
  4. Abusive language and behavior will not be tolerated. Radios are not permitted.
  5. Please use the bin outside the tennis court area to dispose of any trash.

No reservations required; fair share:

  1. Residents do not need to reserve the courts. If a court is available and all players are present you may enter and start playing.
  2. At least two (2) players must be present to use a court. No holding courts while others are waiting.
  3. If other residents are waiting to play, please limit your playing time to 90 minutes (or share a court and get to know your neighbors)
  4. While waiting for courts, please wait outside the gate.
  5. No more than four (4) players to a court.

And last but not least: Please use the tennis courts for tennis only. No baseball batting practice. Enjoy your game!
