Riata News
There have been some inquiries about when the work on Cypress N houston would be finished, including the traffic light. Because of Hurricane Ike, all new traffic signals were put on hold. The city and county have all crews working on lights that not functioning or flat got blown down. While everything is pretty much back to normal on the west side, there are still areas with non-functioning lights and no power, especially east and south. When they get closer to completing the repair tasks, crews will once againg begin on new lights. When we here more from the District engineer, we will let you know.

Debris Removal
The MUD District is still working to get some response from Waste Management regarding debris removal. In the interim, there is another outlet.
If you call 1-800-207-2325 you will get Harris County Debris Removal Hotline.
They will ask for your name, address and contact phone #. Harris County pays the cost to haul the debris. Most asset's are being utilized to clear debris from the roads and worst hit areas. It will be a drawn out process, so please be patient. We are doing all we can to help get things back to normal as quick as possible. Everyone has been great so far. What a great place to live Riata Ranch is.

Update,
The landscaper for RR will begin work on the common area hardiplank fencing next week. There will be a roll off in the pool parking lot. This is the landscapers roll off which he is using to throw all the scrap fencing in. Please do not throw any refuse into this container. It will hamper the work being done on the fencing, it will also cost us more money. The MUD District is still working on getting WM or someone else to come around and pick up the debris from the homes. On another note, people who have common area fencing that backs up to Barker Cypress and the common areas are throwing debris over the fences. Please do not do this. Leave it out front by the street. We will get it picked up. Out front the MUD pays for it, over the fence, you will be paying for it. Alot of people are working tremendously long hours to get people less fortunate than us, power, water, sewer service and etc. The vendors that do normal hauling of refuse are loaded up also. We will get it done. Please be patient. Thank You.
